Freifeld Violin Studio

Hi! My name is Danae Nieto-Freifeld, the face behind Freifeld Violin Studio.

My journey with the violin began when I was just eight years old, thanks to a local teacher who offered lessons at my elementary school. From the very first notes, I was hooked—and that love for music has stayed with me ever since. Throughout my school years, I was deeply involved in music, performing with regional and all-state orchestras across Arizona and playing in a variety of string ensembles in Tucson.

I went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from Northern Arizona University, where I studied with world-class violinists on an orchestra scholarship. Since then, I’ve had the joy of performing with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra and currently perform with the Yuma Civic Orchestra. I also serve as adjunct music faculty and director of the String Ensemble at Arizona Western College.

In my private studio, I teach both violin and viola to students of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're a parent looking to give your child a joyful and enriching musical foundation, or an adult ready to explore or return to the instrument, I strive to create a supportive, inspiring environment for every student. I believe music is a lifelong gift, and I hope to instill the same love of learning and music in my students that I was so lucky to receive growing up.
